We’re been shown a lot of different way to make a book today. I took some pictures of these books, and there are also some techniques inspired me to some degree.
There’re a wide range of ways for people to do create by paper. Then I found there is a book to teach people to make pop-up card, which made me feel so familiar. Actually I have brought the same before, and at that moment I felt like ‘yep! I’m right! I got this! ‘, that’s so interesting.
Today is kinda special for me. I felt so comfortable when I went to Brick Lane to visit varies shops, along. It’s also the first time that I went out by myself.
There are several vintage shops that I really interested in (and I found something which inspired me a lot there),and I can’t wait to share them with you.
The shop that I want to introduce called Beyond Retro (110-112 Cheshire St, London, E2 6EJ, UK). It’s located in the southern part of London – which is a place mixed varies culture and developed a unique street atmosphere. The shop seems like a huge warehouse with all kinds of goods, the clothes, the shoes, the accessories, all the things are so attractive.
I found a mental belt with delicate carving and retro pattern, which showed the 70s style when the simple color combined with the complicated structures. Each little piece of belt was connected by a tiny mental square, so that whole belt was made by mental, without any thread or wire.At that moment I realized that I might use this kind of structure in my future work and the belt might need a better host, so I brought it without thinking twice.
